The Chang Qobyz Chol I hides almost inconspicuously in its carved wooden box. If you take it in your hand, it reveals itself very slowly. The loving and yet discreet design of the frame shows the glittering stars over the steppe of Uzbekistan. It lies softly in the hand and with a little practice all throat and diaphragm techniques can be played. Its loud, present sound can only be elicited and mastered by experienced players, because the Chol I Jaw Harp reacts sensitively to pressure.
